The moroccan Azilal rugs are unique and handmade according to the traditional weaving and knotting techniques practised by the Berber tribes for hundreds of years;
The Azilal rugs are very soft, knotted from lambs wool yarn.

I ordered this Azilal rug from a weaving cooperative in the Atlas Mountains and they made a fantastic job weaving and knotting this checkered Azilal rug in yellow and off white wool. With small details of faint cool pink color along the sides.

Maintenance and care.

The rug can be vacuumed, brushed and dry cleaned.
If the rug’s pile gets a little flat, you can make it fluffy again by brushing the pile carefully with a regular hair brush. Preferably a cheap plastic brush with a distance between the brushes.

If a stain appears on the carpet, place an absorbent pad (f.ex a towel) under the stain and move it around while rinsing with plenty of lukewarm water intil the stain is gone. Dab the area as dry as possible and let dry. When dry brush the
area gently to regain the fluffy look.
Possibly stubborn stains can usually be removed with Vanish for rugs and furniture.

We recommend an anti-slip carpet underlayer for all our rugs and carpets.
